Local Competitions

Each year the Advertising Club of Dubuque hosts the local component of a three-tier advertising competition. This annual competition allows area businesses to benchmark their marketing and advertising efforts against each other. The top fifteen winners are automatically forwarded to the regional competition for the 9th District of the American Advertising Federation. Over the past four years, Mission Creative has been awarded 27 Final Fifteen awards, 2 Best of Show, and a Judges Special Recognition award.

Regional/National Competitions

The 9th District of the American Advertising Federation includes marketing and advertising designs from metropolitan centers like Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha, Wichita, Topeka, Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities, and Des Moines. Since 2003, Mission Creative has been recognized with 4 Citation of Excellence and a Gold ADDY award at the district competition and several Silver National ADDYs. In addition, our design staff has been presented with four Tourism Website Awards by the Iowa Tourism Office and Travel Federation of Iowa, most recently for the Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau's site, TravelDubuque.com, in October, 2010.

Honors & Recognitions

Mission Creative's design work has found its way into such trade magazines as HOW and PRINT, along with being featured in The Best Invitation, The Best Direct Response Design, Card and Announcement Design, Letterhead and Logo Design 5, 1000 Greetings, Best of Business Card Design 5 & 6, Color Graphics (all by Rockport Publishers, Gloucester, Mass.) and Fresh Ideas in Limited Budget Design (North Light Books, Cincinnati, Ohio).
